FreeFret - An open source guitar skills trainer
FreeFret is an open source guitar trainer, which aims to develop guitarists skills without concentrating too much on reading music, instead equiping guitarists with the skills they need to improve their improvised playing, song writing and aural abilities. It is written in Java using AWT and Swing and will work on any platform with a Java run time environment (Linux, Windows, Mac etc..). All code and artwork contained within is released under the GPL.
FreeFret will teach users skills such as:
* The Notes of the fretboard
* Ear interval training
* Scale formations (Coming soon!)
* Chord Formations (Coming soon!)
Version 1.1!
Version 1.1 is now available for download! This version features the notes of the fretboard functionality, and the ability to practice and test yourself on note intervals, I hope you enjoy it!
